Without that urgency, having a reliable, quickly built shelter can make all the difference in staying warm, dry, and protected. This workshop focuses on fast, effective primitive shelters—not long-term structures, but the kind you can throw together when you need immediate cover. Students will learn how to build expedient shelters using natural materials, simple knots, and effective designs suited for different environments. We’ll cover raised beds, full-length fires, and shelter setups that can handle wind, rain, and cold with minimal adjustments.
