REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES FOR GEAR PURCHASES:

Refunds or exchanges will not be given for gear or supplies once they have been shipped unless items are damaged or defective from the manufacturer. Gear that is faulty from the manufacturer or damaged during shipping will be replaced. If your item arrives damaged or is not working, take a clear picture of the damaged or defective item and the packaging that it came in and contact us for further details within 4 days of the order being received. If the shipping box is damaged, take a picture of it before opening the package or do not accept it from the shipping company. Do not send back the item before contacting us. Items sent back without contacting us for further instructions will not be accepted.

Please note that we focus on training and classes and not selling gear. We do not keep any items in stock and many times we are in the field with a class when orders come in. Please allow at least 2-3 weeks for your items to be shipped.

CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS, TRANSFER AND VOUCHERS OF CLASSES:

Since our classes require planning, materials and spots are limited, there will be a 30% fee on any cancellations of classes. As an alternative to cancelling, you may transfer funds as a credit towards other classes for up to 2 years by emailing and asking to use the money you paid towards another scheduled event. It is not guaranteed that the original purchased class type will be available at a later date and by rescheduling you accept this risk. Funds cannot be transferred to use for guest instructor classes.

Refunds will not be given for guest instructors unless you contact us within 5 days of purchasing your ticket. Their classes are infrequent and limited, therefor you are paying to hold your spot for their classes. If you are unable to attend once you have paid, you will either have to find another person to attend in your place or you forfeit your fees. If you find another person to attend in your stead, please contact us so that we can change our class roster. Vouchers from 3rd Party sights such as Yelp cannot be used for guest instructors.

To receive a partial refund for resident instructor classes, you must contact us no later than (14) days in advance of your scheduled class.  Refunds will not be given for books, materials or gear that you purchased from us for classes.

NO last minute refunds or credits will be granted. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled class will forfeit the purchase of the class. No-Shows forfeit their entire class amount and no refund or credit will be issued unless in case of an emergency, at the discretion of Colorado Mountain Man Survival, LLC staff and proof of an emergency may be required. Failure to show up at an event or leaving early from an event you were scheduled for will not warrant a refund or credit.

On rare occasions, due to circumstances beyond our control, it may be necessary for us to cancel scheduled events. In the event The Survival University & Colorado Mountain Man Survival, LLC cancels a scheduled event, regardless of time prior to the event, all students will be offered a full refund or credit towards a future event (choice of the students to be used within 3 years).

These policies may be changed or updated at any time by The Survival University or Colorado Mountain Man Survival LLC, without notice.

AFFILIATE LINKS

Sometimes when we recommend a product, we’ll link to the company’s website using what’s known as an affiliate or referral link. Basically, if you end up buying a product that you found via our link, we get a commission from the vendor as a small “thank you.”

Sometimes that commission is just a few dollars; sometimes it’s a little more. Sometimes it’s a one-time commission; sometimes it’s a rolling commission.

That referral doesn’t cost you a penny. The entire commission comes out of the vendor’s pocket not yours.

We’ll never recommend a product simply because it pays us a commission because that is not how we do things here.

We’ll only recommend products that we’ve personally used or that come highly recommended by trusted peers. (After all, if we only recommended products we’re using ourselves right now, we’d be doing you a disservice, because there are tools that are a great fit when you’re starting out, but not when you have reached our instructors level of training and knowledge.)

Its safe to assume that if we link to a third-party product page, that we will get a small commission.
