SUGGESTED GEAR LIST

We do not provide students with gear unless they have purchased it from us ahead of time. Not much gear is needed for our courses, though good equipment does speed the learning process up greatly! Gear does not have to be purchased from our store to attend the course, but we recommend survival gear of equivalent quality.

  • Camping set up (Tent, Sleeping Bag + Pad, etc)
  • Food for 3 days and 2 nights
  • Protective, comfortable clothing (check weather before hand, it can shift at this elevation in a matter of minutes)
  • 2 Cloth Bandannas
  • 1 5×5 Cloth (I recommend Cotton or Wool) – you can pick these up from a fabric store, online, or simply use an old tablecloth or sheet.
  • Water Bottle With Filter System (This is the one I will be using, aquamira and lifestraw are other popular choices; all should be available at local outdoors stores)
  • Necessary Medication (Allergy, EpiPen, Inhaler, etc)
  • Sunhat
  • Personal First Aid Kit
  • A Tremendous Attitude
  • Phones, watches, and electronics. They are not allowed on this course.

    • Sun Screen
    • Bug Spray
    • Work Gloves
    • Headlamp
    • Camping Cup and mess kit
