From the Mountains to the Jungle

The Survival University is based in the mountains of Colorado, and a lot of what we teach has been shaped by that environment. Cold, elevation, terrain, and learning how to think clearly when things do not go according to plan.

But the foundation has never been about one place. It has always been about how people respond when they step outside their normal environment and are forced to adjust.

The Jungle Brotherhood takes that same idea and places it in a completely different world.

Stepping into the Costa Rican jungle is one of the most exciting and alive experiences I have ever had. The jungle is dense, green, and full of life. It is layered with plants, flowers, fruit, wildlife, water, sound, and constant movement. There is beauty everywhere, but it is not something you just look at. It pulls you in and demands your full attention.

The heat, the humidity, and the terrain require you to slow down and move differently. You begin to notice things you would normally miss. You become more aware of where you are and how you are operating in that environment.

For me, every trip feels like a powerful reset. I leave my regular life behind and remember what it truly feels like to be alive.

What This Is

This is not a vacation. It is not a casual tour, and it is not a weekend retreat built around a loose schedule of activities. It is also not a seminar where you sit around and talk about ideas without ever stepping into them.

This is a structured jungle initiation for men who want something real.

What Happens in the Jungle

THE RESET AND THE ENVIRONMENT

You step into an environment that is unfamiliar from the moment you arrive. There is a reset right away. Phones go away. Normal routines go away. The distractions that usually fill your time fall off quickly.

From there, the experience builds. You are now operating in a place that does not revolve around you. The pace is different, the surroundings require your attention, and you begin to adjust how you move, think, and interact with what is around you.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL PRESSURE

You will learn and apply jungle survival skills. Shelter, fire, water, movement. Not as a checklist, but as a way to stay engaged and present in the environment.

There is physical work. Moving through terrain, carrying weight, dealing with heat and fatigue. It is enough to keep you involved without taking over the entire experience.

There is also a mental side to it. Making decisions, working with others, and seeing how you respond when things are not perfectly smooth.

Why I Back This

Over the years I have seen what happens when men step out of their normal environment and spend real time in nature. I do this myself.

It changes the pace. It strips everything down. It gives you space to slow down and actually look at your life without the constant pull of work, phones, and daily routine.

That kind of reset is rare. Most men never give themselves the chance.

There is also a deeper layer. When plant medicine is done correctly, with real structure and guidance, it is a powerful tool. I have experienced it myself and watched it help men face stress, old trauma, and find clarity that actually lasts.

Men are behind in one key area.

Women tend to create real connection and support. Most men do not. We stay busy, keep things surface-level, or hide behind ego, competition, and macho posturing.

I am as masculine as any man. I built my life on hard work and I take pride in it. But I do not believe that kind of performance always serves us.

This is not that.

This is about stepping away from those old patterns and stepping into real connection, honesty, and meaningful inner work. It is structured. It is intentional. And it actually changes men.
